Description
A Different Kind of Driftwood
These twisted and broken trunks told the story of the storms, lightning, thunder and raging, rushing water which broke their branches and stripped their bark before they came to rest peacefully below Grotto Falls in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Grotto Falls is found on the Trillium Gap Trail. The trail meanders through an old-growth hemlock forest and actually runs behind the 25 foot high waterfall.
