Barred Owl Mt Rainier National Park
I have a Stellers Jay to thank for this image. We were in Mt. Rainier NP, heading back to our campsite, when we heard a Stellers Jay raising a ruckus in one of the campsites. When we investigated, we saw it was scolding this barred owl! I ran to get my long lens, and they both flew off just as I got back. I followed the sound of the Jay's voice, and eventually caught up to the owl after the jay had flown off.
