Description
Rock Puzzle
This mica schist boulder on Mount Washington was cracked and forced apart by ancient glaciers during the ice age. Today, it looks like a puzzle piece which has not quite been clicked together. Mount Washington in the White Mountains of New Hampshire is one of the mountains in the Presidential Range. The Presidential Range is a 19 mile range which includes 13 mountain peaks, 9 of which are considered 4,000 footers. The tallest mountain in the range is Mount Washington, standing at 6,288 feet, named after the first president. The second tallest mountain is Mount Adams, and is named after the second president, and so on.
