James River Sunset
The sunset on the James River at Pony Pasture was magnificent on this late summer day. Pony Pasture is one of the most popular spots in the James River Park System in Richmond, Virginia. Most people swim and play in the rapids or bask in the sun on the many granite boulders in the scenic park, but the scenery is also a big draw for visitors. Huge granite boulders with plenty of unique potholes and nooks shaped by years of erosion are visible when the River is low. The area usually has large and interesting driftwood and plenty of wildlife.
