Description
Juvenile Bald Eagle
This majestic juvenile bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) was looking for lunch on Lake Chesdin, VA. It takes 4 - 5 years for Bald Eagles head and tail feathers to transition fully to white. This young one is probably a first or second year, as it's beak is still dark, along with most of it's feathers.
